The Zarif laboratory has recently published a manuscript titled “Mannose Receptor-positive Macrophage infiltration correlates with prostate cancer onset and metastatic castration-resistant disease” in European Urology Oncology.  We found that CD206 expression increased in human castration resistant disease relative to normal prostatic tissues. 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Raekwon Williams, a Senior at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and both MERIT and Ingenuity scholar  presented his prostate cancer research generated in the lab at the annual MERIT Symposium. 

 

 

 

 

The Zarif lab contributed to the article titled Mannose Receptor (CD206) activation in tumor-associated macrophages enhances adaptive and innate antitumor immune responses” that was published in Science Translational Medicine

 

 

 

 

Monali Praharaj was selected as a 2022 AACR Scholar in training travel award! She presented her work on targeting TAMs in urologic cancers!

 

 

 

 

Debebe completed his M.D./Ph.D. and graduated May 2022.  He is now a Resident Physician in Neurosurgery at Stanford Health.
